Get into the groove with Franké & his unique mix of rock, folk, blues and jazz flavoured fun. Franké caresses his blues guitar to create Marimba like sounds, combined with imaginative bass from Gerry Stancombe and deft rhythms from drummer Laurie Agar. Hypnotic grooves & a touch of lighthearted rockabilly.

12:30 Damian Howard
Recently named as the “Male rising star” of the Southern Stars Independent Music Awards in Mildura, and following successful performances at the Port Fairy Folk festival and Tamworth, Damian Howard will be sharing songs about Ned Kelly from his new album “Ned”.
1:30pm Mama Juju and the Jam Tarts
“A quirky, sassy, fun band that makes audiences feel fantastic.” Mama Juju & The Jam Tarts are fast gaining a reputation for playing almost anything, anytime, anywhere! From Celtic to contemporary folk, to pop, blues, alt country, acoustic rock and jazz. Mama Juju & The Jam Tarts play old and new, original and re-invented songs with no limit to choice of decade or genre. Their gorgeous harmonies and sharing of the lead vocals gives the band a unique and diverse sound. The Tarts all suffer from IAS (instrument Acquisition Syndrome), so they share quite a collection of instruments between them including ukuleles, guitar, harmonica, flute, uke bass, drums and various percussion instruments.

Captivating songs with exquisite harmonies, accompanied by intricate finger style guitar. Traditional, contemporary and original folk including moving ballads, humorous ditties, and driving soundscapes.

We had a beautiful sunny day amongst the paperbarks. A great turn out enjoyed the entertainment and activities on offer.

Inspired by the early jazz & blues of the twenties and thirties,delivered with guitar, Upright bass, tenor sax and drums.

described as “Urban Folk”, Peter’s stories are not the traditional folk, they are happening now. Original songs exploring the less politically correct or unvoiced versions of events.
Mark Davidson 10:20-10:40am
Mark has been performing in and around the folk music scene in South-East Queensland and interstate since the early 1990s. A storyteller, his songs have been covered by the likes of Julie McGonogal & Mary Brettell.
